THE PROJECT
Production of green hydrogen in the central-south zone of Chile, for mobility application to develop green hydrogen corridors for the heavy transport of logs for forestry exploitation in the area. The global project would be divided into three locations in Chile in which to install hydrogen refueling stations with on-site production from renewable sources: Chillán, Concepción and Los Angeles.
Pilot 1 Hidrogenera Chillán
The first of the pilot projects will be the one in Chillán, which will have an installation of 11 MWp of photovoltaic solar panels and an annual production of 25,547 MWh of electricity. Together with the solar plant, a 5 MW electrolysis plant will be installed, with a consumption of 23,400 MWh and an annual production of 416 tons of hydrogen per year, which will allow the generation of hydrogen on site for a refueling station with the capacity to supply 14 trucks daily with a range of 1,000 km.
